Australia shares poised to open flat; NZ up
Australian shares are set to open little
changed on Friday, as gains will likely be capped by mining
stocks on the prospect of lower iron ore prices in the near
term.
The local share price index futures was flat at a 70.4-point
discount to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO close. The
benchmark rose 0.6% on Thursday.
New Zealand’s benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index rose 0.15%
in early trade.
